Qatar Airways Airline Initiates Instagram Contest

Qatar Airways airlineFliers who are planning to embark on a trip on international flights of Qatar Airways can take part in an international Instagram contest. The flagship carrier of Qatar has recently launched this competition with the name #destigram. Travellers around the world can share photographs, which are clicked at any of the eight destinations recently added by this carrier. These new destinations are Edinburgh in Scotland; Philadelphia, Dallas/Fort Worth and Miami in the United States of America; Larnaca in Cyprus; Istanbul in Turkey; Dubai and Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates.

How to Take Part

Qatar Airways airline has initiated this contest to promote its new destinations among its existing as well as new customers. Taking part in this competition is extremely easy. Travellers while visiting any of the above mentioned locations can click pictures of themselves or any of the several attractions here. Simply add the hashtag (#destigram) and add a same before the name of the city. For example, if you are embarking on Pune to Dubai flights for a sojourn at Dubai, click pictures there, and share them on Instagram with #destigram #Dubai. The best snaps will be rewarded by the airline subsequently.

People who are relatively new to the world of social media and digital communication; Instagram is an online forum where people can share photos and videos on several social networking platforms like Tumblr, Facebook and Twitter. Several editing options are also available where people can utilise them to add effects to their clicks. A total of 10 prizes can be won that includes four tickets and 1.6 million Privilege Club Qmiles, the loyalty program of this carrier. The awards also include 200,000 Qmiles, which will be valid on the member airlines of Oneworld alliance. However, the best two snaps will be awarded a pair of Economy or Business Class tickets on the first trip of the airline to any of the eight new locations. The name of the winners will be declared on 3rd March, 2014.
