Kuwait Airways to Revamp its Fleet to Enhance Travel Experience for Passengers

Kuwait AirwaysAs a part of its fleet renewal strategy, Kuwait Airways – the national carrier of Kuwait has confirmed that a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed with the leading aircraft manufacturer, Airbus. According to this MoU, this airline famous for offering cheap international flight tickets will buy 15 A320 neo and 10 A350-900 models from the European aircraft manufacturing giant. With ambitious plans for growth, this carrier is looking forward to strengthen its regional routes banking on the neo models. The other models will be put into use for long-haul journeys to both domestic and international destinations.

Airbus officials said in a statement that they were pleased to see that Kuwait Airways, who were their long-time customers, had chosen these two options to increase their fleet size. In this regard, A320 neo comes with newly-devised engines, which are more efficient. Also, these aircraft are equipped with Sharklet wing tip appliance, which along with the advanced engines are said to save almost up to 15 per cent of fuel expenditure. The neo model has also been in the news for becoming the fastest selling passenger-carrying model ever with over 2500 orders from almost 45 different carriers.

As soon as these aircraft are delivered to the carrier, they will be deployed on their respective routes. Apart from enhancing the fleet size, these models will also replace the existing over-age flights.
