KLM Airlines to Start Wi-Fi Service on its Flights

KLM Airlines, which is one of the favoured carriers in the world, has initiated a Wi-Fi service with immediate effect on some of its flights. As a result of this facility, passengers aboard will be able to stay connected with the rest of the globe all the time during their journey.

Stay Connected on the Move

It was reported that KLM Airlines in a partnership with Panasonic Avionics will start this facility on Boeing 777-300s as a trial run of this amenity. If it is successful in getting the expected response, then this facility will be gradually initiated subsequently to other flights. Now, people travelling on these models of this Dutch carrier will be able to surf the internet while flying. Apart from the regular web facilities, passengers on certain flights will also be able to enjoy live news and sports channels on their device. Globetrotters on these aircraft will be able to access the Wi-Fi facility on their tablets, smartphones or laptops at a fixed rate irrespective of the class they are travelling.

The initiation of this new amenity clearly reflects that carriers are trying to adapt to the growing habits of modern day travellers. With internet becoming a 24×7 accessory of urban lifestyle, it is necessary that airlines provide this service, especially during long journeys. This facility shall further enable vacationers to conduct flight plus hotel bookings even while on the move to chalk out their holiday or business trips, effortlessly. With these new path-breaking service, the Dutch airline is surely looking forward towards a prospective rise of their business in the near future.
