Skytrax World Airline Awards is considered among the most coveted accolades that are given away in the global airline sector. Every year, travellers participate in the largest survey for airline passenger satisfaction taken up by people from more than 160 countries. The participants give their views about various airlines by deciding upon 41 important performance indicators in terms of front-line service, air fare and product. Skytrax, which is an aviation research organization based in UK gives this coveted honour. Taking place since 1999, this survey is considered a benchmark due to the clarity of its process and independent rules in terms of quality recognition throughout the world. The survey was conducted online from July 2012 to May 2013 and it included more than 18 million customers who expressed their views on an array of topics across 14 different entries in the survey form. Over 200 airlines from smaller domestic carriers to largest international airlines were covered in the survey.
IndiGo honoured at the Awards
A fast emerging and the largest airline of India, IndiGo has again been named as the best low cost carrier in India and Central Asia at Skytrax World Airline Award Ceremony that was organised in 2013 at the Paris Air Show. IndiGo gained recognition for the fourth time in a row at these awards. This prize is a testimony to the growing success of IndiGo and the consistency it has maintained to give an unmatched performance every year.
On winning the title, the airline authorities expressed their pleasure on gaining the faith and trust of passengers who choose to go for IndiGo booking. They were delighted at the fact that the travellers supported and recognised the efforts of this carrier that has been providing its services since 2006. They owed their success to the efforts of the dedicated team of women and men who work off their limits each day to ensure a continued hassle-free and courteous service to its flyers with timely performance with low fares.
