This flight will start from the month of August and would complement the already in-place operational flight on the Chennai-Singapore route. New Flight from Jet Airways
In recent years, there has a been a surge in terms of visitors to Singapore from India, both for business and pleasure. Presently, Jet Airways operates one flight each from Chennai and Mumbai while two from New Delhi to Singapore on a daily basis. This additional flight will ease a bit of the rush to this island country. The aircraft that will be used for this second service will be Boeing 737-800 Next Generation. The flight will start at 12 noon from Chennai and reach Singapore at 6.50 pm (local time) while on the return journey, it will depart from there at 08.20 pm (local time) and arrive in Chennai at 10.15 pm (local time).
Jet Airways international flights operate to 20 destinations while its domestic flights operate to 50 destinations. In addition, it has code-share agreements with other international airlines that has helped it to expand its network to different parts of the world. The decision to launch this second flight on the Chennai-Singapore route has made it clear that there is demand for flights on this route, and it is ready to fill this demand.
