In a bid to offer quick and comfortable journey to its passengers from Visakhapatnam to cities like Kochi and Bengaluru, SpiceJet is set to bring a Boeing 800 series aircraft on these routes. This will not only reduce the travelling time from this city to Bengaluru and Kochi, but also costs less as against the fares charged on ATR aircraft. According to reports, an extensive discussion took place between SpiceJet and Vizag Development Council (VDC) over the introduction of a dedicated flight to Kochi and a bigger flight for Bengaluru.

The need for introducing a flight to Kochi was due to the fact that the VDC felt that by making this possible it would be a good step in assisting pilgrims from Visakhapatnam to the Sri Krishna Temple (Guruvayoor) and Swamy Ayyappa Temple (Sabarimala). In addition, the requirement for a bigger flight to the IT capital of India was because the existing aircraft was an ATR one and it took almost two hours to reach there from Vizag. Both the requests made by VDC was accepted by SpiceJet, and fast arrangements were made to fulfill the requests.

The service of Boeing 800 series craft is scheduled to start during this month. This flight will depart from Vizag at 9.45 am and reach Kochi at 12.45 pm, with an in-between stoppage at Bengaluru at 10.45 am. Tickets are now being offered for this flight. You can check the flight status of this particular flight on the official website of SpiceJet or on other leading travel websites.

With the introduction of this flight, IT professionals to Bengaluru while tourists and pilgrims to Kochi are to benefit a lot in terms of both time and money. The ticket fares for this flight start from Rs. 2500 for those who will make the booking three months in advance. You can check other details on SpiceJet airlines flight status official page.
